v5-Img3DViewArea

The 3DView displays the keywords and websites of the current market, as selected in the market area. Keywords are represented by boxes and are can be colored by silo. Websites are represented by pyramids and are usually light blue. In the top left corner of the 3DView area, the name of the current market, the number of keywords, and the number of sites are displayed.

In this "semantic map", keywords that tend to appear in the same websites are mapped close to each other, and websites that tend to have the same keywords are also mapped close to each other. Using this map, you can identify what websites are competing with each other, what keywords they are competing over, and locations for new websites that avoid competition with strong websites. Clusters or "themes" of keywords can be identified that can be used to write a tightly themed article or set of articles.

The following mouse actions are available in the 3D View area.

·Move the scroll bar on the right hand side - this moves the entire 3D view up or down for better viewing.
·Drag the mouse in the 3D view area - this rotates the view so you can see it from any angle.
·Rotate the mouse wheel - zooms in and out of the 3D view area. The zooming combined with dragging lets you see the graph from any angle or distance. You may need to click in the 3D view area to make the zoom work.
·Hover the mouse over a box - the box changes color (to red by default) and shows the keyword name.
·Click the mouse on a box - changes the color (to yellow by default) and also selects the keyword in the Keywords tab area. Clicking it again unselects the keyword.
