General Options...

There are five groups of general options. The first group controls how sites are retrieved from the search engines. These options are:

·The total number of web pages to retrieve when creating a new market.
·How much time is allowed to create a new market.

The second group of options controls how 3DMarketVision uses AdWords. These options are:

·The AdWords Email that is used when logging into AdWords.
·The AdWords Password that is used when logging into AdWords.
·The time allowed to get keyword information from AdWords.

The third group describes what the Sites column for each keyword means:

·Normal - the number of webpages containing this keyword.
·Intitle - the number of webpages containing this keyword in the title.
·Allintitle - the number of webpages having every word in the keyword in the title.
·Inurl - the number of webpages containg this keyword in the URL address.
·Allinurl - the number of webpages having every word in the keyword in the URL address.

The fourth group of options controls the builing of silos in the Keywords | Build Silos menu item.

·Silo Count - this option determines the maximum number of silos that will be built. By default this is set at 9 because that is the number of silo colors that are initially defined in Tools | Color Options.
·Silo Threshold - while building silos, 3DMarketVision decides what keywords to put in a silo based on the TR column value. If the keyword is this percentage similar to a building silo, it will become part of that silo. By default this value is 80%.

The fifth group of options controls the use of a proxy server. A proxy server is sometimes needed if you are behind a fire wall or for other reasons.

·Proxy Server - put in the address of the server in numerical form (example: 127.0.0.1).
·Port - the numerical port used by the proxy server (example: 80).
·Use Proxy - a checkmark means the proxy will be used, otherwise it will not be used.
